My approach to therapy is rooted in holistic wellness, client autonomy, and liberatory frameworks. My identity as a queer, brown femme has affirmed the importance of centering self-awareness, love, and community within healing. I believe mental health needs to be contextualized within structures of power and oppression, and that within therapy, space needs to be given to process how social positioning and intersectional identity show up in our experiences and inner emotional world. I am very committed to taking an identity-affirming approach which encompasses being sex, queer, poly, kinky and BDSM positive.
My goal is to help people navigate their healing journey by investing in a sincere and honest therapeutic relationship that fosters a healthy mind, body and spirit. I ensure this by being trauma-informed, centering consent, and making sessions collaborative. Along with these mentioned approaches, I am also trained in EMDR, CBT, and psychotherapy. My areas of focus and experience include: sexual violence, gender and sexuality, body image, QTBIPOC experiences, and couples therapy.
